Dear friends, colleagues, students, supporters and fellow citizens,
I have decided to participate in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer to raise money for research, treatment, and prevention. This is a very personal undertaking for me because I recently received my own diagnosis. There is no question that early detection saved my life, which is why I consider my participation in this walk to be so important.
It has been astounding for me to realize how many lives are touched by breast cancer. In addition to all of the mothers, sisters, daughters, and friends who are fighting this disease, think about their parents, their siblings, their children and their friends. It might not be the first time, but breast cancer has now touched you because you know me.
Please help me in this effort because I can’t do it without you. I have committed to raising at least $25,000, and I plan to raise more. I hope that I can count on your help and support.

As I prepare for this exciting event, I plan to update this page frequently so that all my supporters can follow my progress, so please visit often.
