Back in the USA
I'm baaaaack! Got back Thursday from two weeks abroad, including 3 days in Paris (my first time), the rest in London. I enjoyed visiting with my son Colin, who is studying for his 2nd Master's Degree in Music Composition. Thanks to my big sister, Mary and my friend Sherry for joining in the fun and adventure (and sore feet!). Walked about 300 miles through museums, tube stations, city blocks, and airports. No weight loss, though. Too many pastries...

Training in London and Paris next week!
Hi, everyone,
I'll be training in London and Paris for the next two weeks. I decided that getting some European air would be good for me and build my strength for the Two-Day walk in May. My buddy and sis, Mary, will be training with me, and our personal trainer Sherry will cheerlead the group. Colin will be along for some moral support. Remember: YOLO: You Only Live Once, so carpe diem!

Two walks in 1 week a record!
My friends and I walked from the Monocacy River towards Ceresville Wednesday, then in Middletown past farms and cows on Thursday. We got chased by a goat and three dogs but emerged unscathed! This is a record week for me. My training is slow and steady.

5-miler Today!
Sherry R. and I did a 5-miler in the Eastview 'hood today. Cold, clear, sunny and Tuffy was along to pull us up the hills. Thanks, Sherry and Tuffy!

Avon Training walk yesterday
I went on my first "training walk" in D.C. yesterday with Mary. It was 32 degrees but we had all our thermal stuff on and I had my new "survivor' hat on. Pictures will be on this site soon, so stay tuned. Good thing we care more about our health than how we look when we walk. Ouch!

Wow! You People are Awesome!
I am overwhelmed with gratitude for all the great donations I have received! I'm proud of all of you for taking the time and effort to visit my page and see how important this is to me. You'll be walking with me every training day (I better get going!) and each mile of the Walk on May 2-3. I'm pumped! Thanks to all of you!
