Who would have guessed that I would be walking yet again in another amazing week-end? And people who know me well, would not be surprised with the newest addition to my wardrobe for the week-end.....yes that would be a BIG BLACK BOOT!!!!!!

Why you ask, in surprise, well I was clowing around (literally) and fell off a curb at our last fundraising event - the doctor says it is not broken, but i did injure my right ankle and probablky tore some ligements.

So for the first time, I get to say I will NOT be able to walk the 39 miles unless a miracle happens, but am going to give it the old Gunther spirit and walk/step/limp to hopefully make 26 - but have promised my FAMILY I will not overdo it!!!!!

Thank you to all who have dontated to me or my teammates - we may hit 10,000 for this event.....

There is still time to dontate if you wish and you may either dontate to my daughter Jennifer Holbrook or to myself.....

Thank you so much for your very genrous donations to the amazing cause - We can cure Breast Cancer - One Step at a Time...

Much love,

Kate

The boot - isn't it pretty

Here is my newest addition,

I am going to try my best to add some pink to this boot - gotta be fashionable, right?

More and more, its becoming a family event....

The past year has been an exciting one for our family with 3 great-grandchildren being born and more family members joining our team.

While I will be walking with my sisters, my daughter and my godson Max, on his FIRST event!

This little guy on the left is one of my reasons to walk - so I can continue to stay CANCER FREE and so that his Mommy wll not have to worry because a cure will be found.......My happy, happy buddy Patrick James, you make Grandma's heart melt.....

NYC Here I come again............
