2009: Avon Walk for Breast Cancer: Boston

Love for Linda

Welcome, and thank you for visiting our Avon Walk for Breast Cancer team's page - Love for Linda!
Please welcome our newest Walkers - Gina Haerer and her sister Leah Staffier!
YAY GINA & LEAH!
You can donate to any one of us by clicking our names at the bottom of this page.
We'll have more updates and information coming soon!
So many of us are affected by breast cancer, whether you're a survivor, or lost a friend or a family member, or know someone currently in treatment. That's why we're here. Linda meant so much to us as a wonderful aunt, cousin and friend and we know how much she meant to so many of you.
Also, as you may recall our friend, Sarah Tipton, was diagnosed last year and has kicked cancer's butt! Way to go Sarah!
We’ll spend the next several weeks training to prepare for a walk of up to a marathon and a half. Each team member is required to raise at least $1,800 in donations. But because we're in this together, we know that, with your help, we can do it.
Please support our team. You can make a donation to any team member by clicking on their name, and you’ll be taken to their personal page... If you'd prefer to write a check, just contact one of us and we'll send you the form and information.
Please check back here frequently to see how we're doing, and thanks in advance for your support!

About the Avon Foundation
Since it was founded in 1955, the Avon Foundation has been committed to the mission to improve the lives of women and their families. Now past the half century milestone, the Avon Foundation brings this mission to life through two key areas of focus: breast cancer and domestic violence. From an initial $400 scholarship in 1955, Avon philanthropy has expanded globally and through 2008 exceeded $660 million raised and awarded worldwide. The Avon Breast Cancer Crusade launched in 1992, and Avon breast cancer programs in over 50 countries support advancing access to care and finding a cure for breast cancer, with a focus on the medically underserved.
