Welcome, and thanks for visiting the Solo Strutters' home page.
The commitment to walk a marathon or a marathon and 1/2 is challenging, but if you are going to go it alone, it can be daunting.
So welcome to a team made just for you. We all know that there's strength in numbers, but now you can see what ONE person can do! YOU!
Join our family all of whom have made a commitment to help find a cure and who will give you a hug when you need one, helpful information, someone to talk to, help finding a tent mate, giggles, tears -- all of this just for you ..... the brave, solo walker!
In 2008 we had over 500 members in all 9 cities (we are the ONLY team in all 9 cities) and raised over $850,000 collectively! So join us to make this another GREAT year!
Please check back here frequently to see how we're doing, I plan to change the pictures frequently!
We CAN cure this disease, just keep walking.
You can make a donation to any team member by clicking on their name. If you'd prefer to write a check, just contact one of us and we'll send you a donation coupon.
Please check back here frequently to see how we're doing, and thanks again for your support!
Hugs,
Judy

About the Avon Foundation Since it was founded in 1955, the Avon Foundation has been committed to the mission to improve the lives of women and their families. Now past the half century milestone, the Avon Foundation brings this mission to life through two key areas of focus: breast cancer and domestic violence. From an initial $400 scholarship in 1955, Avon philanthropy has expanded globally and through 2008 exceeded $660 million raised and awarded worldwide. The Avon Breast Cancer Crusade launched in 1992, and Avon breast cancer programs in over 50 countries support advancing access to care and finding a cure for breast cancer, with a focus on the medically underserved.
