To be of service to the cause...

Thanks for visiting my Avon Walk page! I’ve committed to participating in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer because two people I love have been affected by Breast Cancer. It’s a big commitment, one that will require me to spend the next several months training and fundraising, but breast cancer is a big disease that, even with progress and technology, still affects far too many people; so I’m determined to be of service to the cause, by raising money and walking! Though I’m required to raise at least $1,800 in donations, I plan to raise much more!

The money raised will be managed and disbursed by the Avon Foundation Breast Cancer Crusade to help provide access to care for those that most need it, fund educational programs, and accelerate research into new treatments and potential cures. I’ll be just one of thousands that will walk up to a marathon and a half over a weekend, raising awareness of the cause and educating even more people.

I can’t do it without your help, so I hope that I can count on your support!

My husband Lynn is also committed to the cause, and he fully supports and encourages me in this walk. His mom Liz is a breast cancer survivor, so he knows more than anyone how important awareness and fundraising is toward the treatment and cure of this disease.
