Help me reach my fundraising goal of $1800!
Thank you for visiting my Avon Walk page! I’ve committed to participating in the two day, 39 mile Avon Walk for Breast Cancer in Houston, Texas on April 10 and 11. It’s a HUGE commitment, one that will require me to spend the next four months training and fundraising. But breast cancer is a big disease, one that still affects far too many people, and I’m determined to do everything I can to help put an end to it.
More than anything else, I am doing this to honor Pat Miller (better known as Mamaw). She is Mark's grandmother and a very important, very loved person to not only her family, but also to the newest member of the Miller family...me!
The money I raise will be managed and disbursed by the Avon Foundation Breast Cancer Crusade to help provide access to care for those that most need it, fund educational programs, and accelerate research into new treatments and potential cures. I’ll be just one of thousands of people that will walk up to a marathon and a half over a weekend, raising awareness of the cause and educating even more people. Mark will be there to support me, thank goodness!
I can’t do it without your help. Though I’m required to raise at least $1,800 in donation, I hope to raise much more!
I hope that I can count on your support. Please, help me honor Mamaw along with the millions of other women who have fought this battle. Every little bit helps!
