Mrs. Lindsey Ann Scheumeister
Thanks for visiting my Avon Walk page! I've committed to participating in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. It's a big commitment that will require me to spend the next several months training and fundraising. But breast cancer is a big disease that affects far too many people. Volunteering my time over the next six months and participating in this 39.3 mile walk is no big task when compared to what indivuials with breast cancer and their family have to go through.
Cancer has effected several people I love just as I'm sure it has with you. It breaks my heart that my three best friends from high school have all lost their mothers to cancer. By participating in this walk, I hope to help other mothers before it's to late. I'm walking for my mother, my aunts, my cousins, my mother in law, my friends, and even my husband, dad, and brother. Yes, men get breast cancer too!
I'm walking in memory of my Aunt Doris Cardani and for my Aunt Doris Bonanno who is a Breast Cancer survivor.
The money I raise will be managed and disbursed by the Avon Foundation Breast Cancer Crusade to help provide access to care for those who most need it, fund educational programs, and accelerate research into new treatments and potential cures. I'll be just one of thousands of people who will walk up to 39.3 miles over two days, raising awareness promoting education.
I can't do it without your help. Though I'm required to raise at least $1,800 to walk in the event, I plan to raise much more! I hope that I can count on your support.
You can make a donation right here on the website by clicking the "Donate Now" button on this page. If you prefer to write a check, please contact me, and I'll send you the information and form.
Thank you in advance.
