Conquering Breast Cancer - 1 Step at a Time
This will be my 7th year of walking and my 5th year of walking all the Avon Walk Events.
It is NOT about the walking, it is about the money that is raised that will be used to fund research to find a vaccine that will prevent this dreaded disease
It is about the money that you help me to raise by donating, that will provide care for those with little or no quality breast health care
It is about the money that is donated to make sure that families can survive while the family member is going through grueling treatments
It is about YOU! You are all heroes, You make it possible that we can walk and spread awareness of the importance of early detection With early detection we have raised the 5 year survival rate to 95%.
For those of us who have this disease, it is with us every day. Our compromised immune systems, the fear that it will return, but YOU give us hope, every thought that is dark, YOU are the light
Join me again this year, please donate generously. Times are rough, economically, but breast cancer is still striking someone every 3 minutes and someone dies every 14 minutes. Every day, every single day we lose a precious life, many precious lives.

Do You Have Rewards Points?
To get to all the cities and not use valuable cash that can go toward research and care for the underserved, I have been using rewards points and frequent flyer miles. Some are my own, but it's not enough. If you have some you can donate, please contact me at jcherry@hotmail.com

When people experience the sea of pink in each of the cities they are inspired to donate, we raise awareness and many get their first mammograms, that's really why we walk!
It's not just the walking its the spreading of the awareness to wipe out this epidemic!
