A special thank you to everyone who made the important decision to speak out against domestic violence by registering, volunteering or donating to the 2nd annual Walk the Course Against Domestic Violence. While unfortunately we were unable to walk due to the uncooperative weather, rest assured that the money and awareness you have raised by being part of the event will help keep women and children safe, will help get them out of potentially dangerous situations, and will give them hope for a brighter, violence-free future.

Donations are still being accepted as we are committed to giving at least $100,000 (and hopefully more!) to our four very deserving domestic violence organizations. The funds you have raised and will continue to raise are being put to work immediately to support life-saving programs of The Shelter of Gaston County, United Family Services Shelter for Battered Women, Turning Point of Union County and the North Carolina Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
